Al Dhannah City is a waterfront residential area in Abu Dhabi situated around 250km away from the central city. Previously known as Al Yash, the residential area witnessed a major transformation in the 1970s when ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) planned to accommodate their staff in the area. Later, the President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan renamed it Al Ruwais with a vision to develop a thriving community. In the phase of development, it got the name Al Dhannah City which is situated parallel to a beach and adjacent to Al Ruwais Industrial City.

Al Dhannah City has a modern infrastructure with healthcare facilities, educational institutes, banking services and commercial spaces. It accommodates people from over 70 different nationalities. Besides the amenities for residents, the area has become a prime destination for tourists with its beaches and resorts. An integrated road network and availability of means of public transportation are other features of the area.
