Al Barari (or Barari) is an eco-friendly community in Dubai. It is a gated community offering villas and apartments developed by Al Barari Developers. The master development has two phases. Al Barari Phase I include the communities of The Nest, Ashjar, Seventh Heaven, The Residences and The Reserve. It also includes The Farm restaurant, Heart & Soul spa and Body Language health club. Al Barari Phase II include a resort hotel, a business school, medical facilities, retail shops and residential developments.
Al Barari Dubailand spans a whopping 18 million sq. ft. and 60% of the community is composed of green spaces, landscaped gardens, natural lakes and freshwater streams. Al Barari in Arabic means wilderness, which is no surprise considering the amount of greenery in the area. It is, indeed one of the greenest communities in Dubai.
Al Barari location is divided into six sub-communities including The Nest, Seventh Heaven, Ashjar, The Reserve, The Neighbourhood and The Residences. On the residential side, there is a total of 189 ready villas, 28 villas part of The Reserve community and 55 houses part of The Nest. The Residences are spacious eco-friendly homes available in four types. These include Acacia, Bromellia, Camellia and Dahlia. Situated opposite Global Village and the City of Arabia, the villas and apartments for sale in Al Barari are right off the main Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) freeway near Nad Al Sheba Dubai. The area is currently not accessible from the Dubai Metro lines. The closest metro station would be the Rashidiya Metro Station, 20 minutes away and the closest bus stop to the neighbourhood would be Global Village Station. Bus links 102, 103, 104 and 106 depart from there. Another option is further away in Al Reem, Arabian Ranches. The J02 bus stops here and connects to the Mall of the Emirates station.
Residents have access to many supermarkets in Al Barari such as Waitrose and F Mart. Quick Supermarket, Goodies Supermarket and Burj Safa Supermarket can be found in the neighbouring community of Majan. There is also a ZOOM mini-mart and an AllDay Mini Mart. There is a branch of Spinneys supermarket in The Villa community, 22 minutes away from Barari. Next to The Villa, you will find Shua Al Madina Supermarket, Thomsun Supermarket & Department Store and West Zone Supermarket in Dubailand, roughly at the same distance.
There is a dedicated community mosque in Al Barari. To visit other mosques nearby, residents will have to visit the communities of Living Legends and Falcon City of Wonders. Al Wasl Mosque in Liwan is a short 12-minute drive from Barari.
A church near Al Barari is The Gatekeepers Weekday Warehouse in the Al Quoz area to the north. The Hindu temples are all located in Bur Dubai, near the museum. You can reach the Shiva and Krishna temples in 30 minutes. Here you will also find the Sikh Gurudwara, there is another Sikh place of worship called the Gurunanak Darbar in Jebel Ali which is 35 minutes away.
