Al Barari

Al Barari (or Barari) is an eco-friendly community in Dubai. It is a gated community offering villas and apartments developed by Al Barari Developers. The master development has two phases. Al Barari Phase I include the communities of The Nest, Ashjar, Seventh Heaven, The Residences and The Reserve. It also includes The Farm restaurant, Heart & Soul spa and Body Language health club. Al Barari Phase II include a resort hotel, a business school, medical facilities, retail shops and residential developments.

Al Barari Dubailand spans a whopping 18 million sq. ft. and 60% of the community is composed of green spaces, landscaped gardens, natural lakes and freshwater streams. Al Barari in Arabic means wilderness, which is no surprise considering the amount of greenery in the area. It is, indeed one of the greenest communities in Dubai.

Al Barari location is divided into six sub-communities including The Nest, Seventh Heaven, Ashjar, The Reserve, The Neighbourhood and The Residences. On the residential side, there is a total of 189 ready villas, 28 villas part of The Reserve community and 55 houses part of The Nest. The Residences are spacious eco-friendly homes available in four types. These include Acacia, Bromellia, Camellia and Dahlia. On the other hand, Seventh Heaven, Ashjar and The Neighbourhood are apartment complexes in the neighbourhood.

Al Barari Dubailand is home to a high-end restaurant aptly dubbed The Farm, a well-maintained health club called Body Language and the neighbourhood spa called Heart & Soul. Tranquil ambience, eco-friendly environment and availability of numerous lifestyle amenities and dining options add to the advantages of living in Al Barari.

Al Barari Dubailand features a wide range of apartments and villas. The Nest is a collection of 55 villas in 4-bedroom units. It features homes on plot sizes ranging from 9,000 sq. ft. to 15,000 sq. ft.

The Reserve features the luxurious bespoke 28 villas. The plot sizes of the villas are larger than the regular Al Barari residences starting from 31,000 sq. ft.

The Residences have 189 luxury villas surrounded by landscaped themed gardens, lakes and freshwater streams. The development includes four types of villas, Acacia and Bromellia offer 6-bedroom residences with at least 13,858 sq. ft. of living space. Camelia and Dahlia villas are 5-bedroom homes with a minimum coverage area of 12,713 sq. ft.

Featuring themed gardens, Seventh Heaven is the luxury escape that Al Barari boasts. The sub-community features modern 1 to 3-bedroom apartments with exclusive access to private elevators. Likewise, The Neighbourhood features studio to 2-bedroom apartments with access to the community’s leisure amenities. These include the gymnasium, the guest suites, the multi-purpose area, the club house building and the beach club.

Ashjar is the only sub-community which includes low-rise apartment complexes. This development has 120 homes that are spread across 9 buildings. These 5-storey buildings have a layered design to make the most of the sunlight and its shared facilities offer a nice balance of communal living and a private residence.

These Al Barari Residences have private or underground parking, swimming pools, dedicated play areas for children, barbecue areas, gyms, saunas, steam rooms and Jacuzzis.

If you own a car, commuting around will not be much of a problem. All of the Barari villas offer covered parking spaces or a garage. Visitors can park outside the villas or on the street.

Situated opposite Global Village and the City of Arabia, the villas and apartments for sale in Al Barari are right off the main Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) freeway near Nad Al Sheba Dubai. The area is currently not accessible from the Dubai Metro lines. The closest metro station would be the Rashidiya Metro Station, 20 minutes away and the closest bus stop to the neighbourhood would be Global Village Station. Bus links 102, 103, 104 and 106 depart from there. Another option is further away in Al Reem, Arabian Ranches. The J02 bus stops here and connects to the Mall of the Emirates station.

Residents have access to many supermarkets in Al Barari such as Waitrose and F Mart. Quick Supermarket, Goodies Supermarket and Burj Safa Supermarket can be found in the neighbouring community of Majan. There is also a ZOOM mini-mart and an AllDay Mini Mart. There is a branch of Spinneys supermarket in The Villa community, 22 minutes away from Barari. Next to The Villa, you will find Shua Al Madina Supermarket, Thomsun Supermarket & Department Store and West Zone Supermarket in Dubailand, roughly at the same distance.

There is a dedicated community mosque in Al Barari. To visit other mosques nearby, residents will have to visit the communities of Living Legends and Falcon City of Wonders. Al Wasl Mosque in Liwan is a short 12-minute drive from Barari.

A church near Al Barari is The Gatekeepers Weekday Warehouse in the Al Quoz area to the north. The Hindu temples are all located in Bur Dubai, near the museum. You can reach the Shiva and Krishna temples in 30 minutes. Here you will also find the Sikh Gurudwara, there is another Sikh place of worship called the Gurunanak Darbar in Jebel Ali which is 35 minutes away.

FalconCity Nursery in the Falcon City of Wonders and Kids Zone Nursery in the neighbouring community of The Villa are the closest options for your little ones.

There is a school in Al Barari, Dunecrest American School offering the American curriculum from pre-kindergarten to Grade 12 and also offers the option of the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum for Grade 11 and 12. Right opposite the community, there is GEMS Heritage Indian School. It offers the Indian CBSE curriculum from pre-kindergarten to Grade 10.

For higher education and specialised academia, there are quite a few options. On the eastern side of the community, you will find Dubai International Academic City (DIAC), home to many reputable universities. A few of them include Curtin University Dubai, Al Ghurair University, Emirates Aviation University and Heriot-Watt University Dubai.

One can find several clinics and hospitals near Al Barari. Dr Kamkar Medical & Physiotherapy Center can be found in Majan and Dubai London Clinic is located in The Villa community. Medicure Centre, Symbiosis Medical Centre and Aster Clinic can be found in the Dubai Silicon Oasis neighbourhood, 14 minutes away.

Al Barari’s immediate neighbours are the communities of Majan, Falcon City of Wonders and Living Legends. In 18 minutes you can reach The Villa, Arabian Ranches, Academic City and Dubai Silicon Oasis. Motor City is at a 17-minute drive and Al Barsha South lies at a distance of 18 minutes.

Cityland Mall is one of the popular malls near Al Barari but it is under construction. It is one of the best malls in Dubai. However, at a short distance around the Dubai Silicon Oasis, one can find the Cedre Shopping Centre. Other nearby shopping malls include City Centre Me’aisem in Dubai Production City and My City Centre Al Barsha. These shopping malls offer a wide variety of retail outlets, eateries and other establishments.

One of the best-known restaurants in Al Barari is The Farm. Its location in a calm green oasis with minimalistic interiors offers a relaxing retreat to its guests. Its concept and menu are based on using the best ingredients for their dishes. The Farm is also a popular event space, it hosts afternoon tea events, cooking classes, pop up markets and more.

Talking about food, Barari visitors and residents can spot casual eateries and high-end restaurants near Al Barari. From the traditional Arab cuisine to continental and even special gourmet treats, the community caters to the different tastes of the people living in the locale. Nearby restaurants include Lowe, Purple Fork, Chin Chin, Kabab Rolls and Wings & more.

Towards the eastern side near the Academic City, you can find Shakespeare & Co, Taco Barrio, Ying & Yang Restaurant, Circle Café, Tomato & Basilico Restaurant, Pizza Hut and Subway. People living in Al Barari can easily head over to the many cafes in the surroundings like Starbucks, Costa Coffee, Caffé Nero and Filli Café.

Accessing the famous Dubai beaches is quite convenient as there are some beaches near Al Barari. Whether it’s a family day out or a beach picnic, spots like the Marina Beach and Jumeirah Public Beach are conveniently located at a mere 25 to 30-minute drive. Those looking for a more exciting experience and watersports events can head to Kite Beach and Umm Suqeim Beach. There are exciting water-sports options at the beaches, which are fun for families, young couples and individuals alike.

Al Barari is close to the widely known Dubai Miracle Garden, which houses over 250 million exotic flowers and 50 million plant species. In the same vicinity, one can find the famous Dubai Autodrome, which has hosted events like the Renault V6 Eurocup Season, FIA GT Championship, Dubai 24 Hour, European Touring Car Championship and many endurance races.

Moreover, Dubai Polo Equestrian Club is at a short distance, where you can go for horse riding or playing polo. It is one of the most popular places for horse riding in Dubai.  The biggest of all attractions close to the community is definitely IMG Worlds of Adventure. It is a thrill-packed theme park with everything from roller-coasters to theme restaurants and souvenir shops, which is just as fun for adults as it is for kids.

Global Village is a theme park of its own as well, it features international pavilions from many countries all over the world. It has a wide range of rides, games and food stalls.

Residents have a whole range of options to make the best use of their time. There is a fitness centre right in the centre of the community called Body Language. Then there is Oryx Fit in the neighbouring area of Majan. For a relaxing experience, residents can visit Heart & Soul, the luxurious spa in Al Barari. It is located close to Green Works the area’s largest private nursery.

Since its inception, Barari Dubai has hosted a wide range of events. Some of the most notable past events include the Tennis Tournament for Adults, which took place in the Body Language health club. Al Barari does not offer easy access to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and this adds up to the commute time of leaving and entering the neighbourhood.

The road distance between Al Barari to Dubai International Airport is 25.3 km. Travelling by car takes around 19 minutes to reach via Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road/E311.

The buses 66 and 67 have routes that pass near Al Barari.
