Ajman Industrial Area

As the name suggests, Ajman Industrial Area is a prominent commercial district with flourishing real estates and high-end industries of garments, fisheries, wood, trading and even printing presses. In contrast to a usual industrial zone with noise pollution and debris lying around, you’d be surprised to see that Ajman Industrial area is an urbanised district with thriving residential properties. It is surrounded with popular residential areas of Ajman including Al Muwaihat and Al Rawda in the east and Al Rashidiya in the northwest. Al Ramtha lies towards the southwest whereas Al Jurf community lies to the north.

The Ajman Industrial area consists of two zones, Ajman Industrial 1 and Ajman Industrial 2. It is centrally located and provides easy access to both parts of the city. From here Ajman Free Zone, Al Bustan and Al Tallah are reachable within 15-minutes. Ajman Industrial area is close to many shopping sites, schools and restaurants. The residential properties consist of studio, 1 and 2-bedroom apartments. Commercial properties consist of warehouses and labour camps. Ajman Industrial 1 and 2, both are well connected to the rest of the city due to their central location and proximity to the Al Ittihad Street (E11) highway. Ajman Industrial 2 also shares its southern border with the emirate of Sharjah.

Ajman Industrial 1 and Ajman Industrial 2 both provide everything that the city of Ajman has to offer. There is a mix of commercial and residential properties in the area with many amenities nearby. The residents are usually a mix of singles and young couples as the area is an affordable option. Due to it being an industrial area there is also a large population of labour workers who reside here.

Moving in and out of the area is easy with multiple routes connecting it to the rest of the city. There are bus stops along Amr Ibn El Aas Street which cuts through Ajman Industrial 1 and 2. People living and working in the area can benefit from these conveniently located bus stops for their daily commute.

The largest supermarkets in the vicinity are Nesto Hypermarket and Sun City Hypermarket. Both of these are located in Ajman Industrial Area 2. Other supermarkets include Al Ola Supermarket, Green Mart, Sona Supermarket and more. Larger well-known supermarket such as Lulu Hypermarket and Carrefour Hypermarket are about 10 minutes away from the area.

While there are is no church in Ajman, a short drive south to Yarmook in Sharjah is where you will find over 15 different churches. These include St.Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Russian Orthodox Church, St.Gregorios Orthodox Church and many more.

Hindu residents will have to travel to the Bur Dubai district in Dubai to visit the Shiva and Krishna temples. Guru Nanak Sikh Darbar is also located here. This journey takes roughly 30-minutes through Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311).

Like most residential neighbourhoods in Ajman, there are a lot of mosques in the area. The most well-known mosques are Luqman Hakeem Mosque, Aasa Mosque and Khalfan Masjid.

There are many schools near Ajman Industrial Area. A few British options in Al Tallah include Oxford School, Frontline International School and Ajman Academy School. Other reputable institutes nearby include Al Shola American School that follows the American syllabus and The International School of Choueifat that follows the SABIS system.

University options include the City University College of Ajman, also located in Al Tallah just 5 minutes away. Further away at 15 minutes are Gulf Medical University and Ajman University.

Ajman Speciality Hospital is located in Ajman Industrial 1. There is a branch of Saudi German Hospital which is under construction in the Al Tallah community. Otherwise, residents can visit the Thubat Hospital in Al Rashidiya which is just opposite Ajman Industrial 2. Clinics in the area include Sunil Medical Centre, Al Ahalia Medical Centre and Access Clinic Ajman.

Ajman Industrial Area is located on the border of Ajman and Sharjah and provides easy access to both emirates. Ajman Industrial 1 is surrounded by Al Jurf, Al Rawda and Al Muwaihat. Ajman Industrial 2 is encircled by Al Nuaimiya and Al Muwaihat 3 in Ajman, whereas it also shares its western boundary with Sharjah. The neighbouring areas also feature top residential and commercial complexes, schools, hospitals, restaurants and supermarkets.

The mall is also popular for children’s items at reasonable prices.

A larger mall located at the edge of Ajman Industrial 1 is the Galleria Mall. It is a large mall spread over 2-storeys and features over 200 stores. With its many shopping options, food courts and children’s play areas it ensures that adults and kids both enjoy visiting Galleria Mall. The most popular mall in Ajman is City Centre Ajman, which is located at a distance of just 12-minutes from Ajman Industrial area. City Centre Ajman provides the best entertainment facilities and includes  Carrefour Hypermarket, 18 dining outlets, a Vox Cinemas along with more than 70 local and international brands in its retail space.

The area is cluttered with eateries and restaurants of different price points and cuisines. From international and local food chains to restaurant offering diverse cuisines, Ajman Industrial area has almost everything covered. Popular local eateries include Malabar Restaurant, Panoor Restaurant and Al Asli Vegetarian. The City Centre Ajman, located at a distance of 12-minutes from Ajman Industrial Area accommodates a large assortment of local and international food outlets including Hardee’s, Gerard Patisserie, Baskin Robbins and Nando’s, so the options are never limited for residents in Ajman Industrial Area.

Although Ajman Industrial Area is not located right on the seashore, it is in proximity to the top beach of Ajman. Ajman Beach is one of the best and most popular beaches of Ajman. One of the most famous events held in Ajman is the Camel Festival at the Al Tallah Racecourse. Reminiscent of the ancient Bedouin culture, the festival includes camel racing, a camel beauty pageant and other traditional activities that attract a large number of participants from Gulf countries. These events are also attended by many visitors from all over Ajman. Residents of Ajman Industrial Area can reach Al Tallah Racecourse in 9 minutes.

While Ajman Industrial Area does have residential spaces most of the area is commercial. It is an industrial area so it is noisy and crowded in the daytime. Other than that the area is close to many points of interest and it is easy to commute to other emirates from Ajman Industrial area.
