Through the course of the year, we get several opportunities to reflect on what is important to us, both professionally and personally and define our
goals.
Goal setting is critical to success and is the secret key to effective time management. It is also a life skill that most people have never learned to do properly. Goal setting is useful in every aspect of your life: financial, professional, relationship, physical and mental health.
What is the difference between the rich and the poor? 85% of wealthy people have one big goal that they work on. Only 3% of poor people do. (Brian Tracy “Master Your Time, Master Your Life”)
So if you are a real estate agent looking to increase your business this year, having a plan of action is important. We break the steps down for
you in this quick guide.
What are SMART Goals?
Set SMART GOALS in order to guarantee your success. Remember, if you don’t know where you are headed, it’s impossible to get there
- Having a goal to sell more houses isn’t specific, but to sell 12 HOUSES is
- In the above example, 12 houses is also measurable
- 12 houses is achievable. However, 100 houses may not be!
- Is it worthwhile? Meeting 100 prospects is relevant to your goal, but traveling to France may not be
- Your goals should be aggressive but realistic. A goal to sell 12 houses in 6 months is both bold and realistic. But selling 12 houses this week is aggressive but most likely not realistic
Here are some easy ways to create SMART Goals
