In this series, we explore the various tools and hacks that can help beginners unlock better designs and photographs for real estate. We kick off this series by taking a look at the easiest way to create a listing presentation
A listing presentation is a great tool to help your potential clients understand the value you offer as an estate agent and outlines exactly how you work. We recommend that agents use listing presentations when working with sellers. It’s an easy way to stand out and showcase your professionalism.
So what is a listing presentation you ask? It’s a visual outline of who you are, how you work, what you have achieved and what potential clients can expect from working with you.
If you lack knowledge of graphic design, Canva is the perfect tool for you to make designs and creative presentations. In this article, we take you through all the techniques to ace your listing presentation’s design.
CREATE AN ACCOUNT ON CANVA
In order to get started, you will need to sign up for an account on Canva.com. There are two versions: a free version and a paid version. For the sake of this article, we took the free version out for a spin.
CHOOSE YOUR COLOR PALETTE
Before you start off, you need to decide the colours you will be using in this presentation. We would suggest using your brand colours. For example, if your colours are red and white, make sure that those colours are used, without bringing in a third colour like purple or green.
Ensure that the font, sizes and colours remain consistent throughout the presentation as well.
FIND YOUR IDEAL TEMPLATE
On the Canva homepage, choose the ‘presentation’ option. You will be able to pick from hundreds of different presentation templates, of various different styles. Using the search bar on the left, look up ‘listing presentations’.
You can find a few listing presentation templates on Canva you can choose from, based on your preferences.

CREATE A TITLE SLI DE
Start with a title slide that defines the game plan for your listing presentation. A common newbie mistake is to title your listing slide as ‘Listing Presentation’. To catch your clients’ eye, ensure your listing presentation is titled along the lines of “Sell your Villa with Us!”

MAKING IT YOUR BRAND
Replace the text from the template presentation with your own. You can fill in essential information that your clients would want to see, such as:
- Begin with an interesting cover slide. Avoid using titles such as “Listing Presentation” or “Listing with (Agency Name)”.
2. An ‘about you’ section that talks about your experience, your strengths and why your clients love working with you.
3. Show off your team from your agency. Use images to highlight your team
4. Your sales process, where you explain your process from start to finish in brief.
5. A page titled ‘our results’, to showcase the highlights of your work with your previous clients.
Showcase a Comparative Market Analysis, which shows the previously sold transactions. You can compile this information from Profolio.
Another way you can showcase this information is by compiling information on similar listings
Finish off with your Contact Page
Use your unique pictures, colours and branding throughout your presentation to make it your own.
