For those who follow other faiths, there is Guru Nanak Darbar, the first ISO-certified Sikh Gurudwara in the Jebel Ali Village. Reaching there may take anywhere between 15 to 25-minutes depending on which part of this large district you are coming from. There are also several churches in the same area right across the temple. St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, also specifically called as Jebel Ali Church deserves a mention here. Also, you can find many other options such as United Christian Church of Dubai, Dubai Mar Thoma Church and St. Mina Coptic Orthodox Church. These are accesible in under 17 to 20 minutes from the residential side of the development.

A prominent industrial area, a free zone and a massive residential development, Jebel Ali is easy to locate close to Dubai Marina and Dubai Investments Park. The major highlight of the area is Ibn Battuta Gate and Ibn Battuta Mall in the vicinity of Jebel Ali Village. It takes around 20 minutes from the Ibn Battuta Gate to reach the centre of Mina Jebel Ali. The community is home to some exclusive leisure spots and also, residents have access to the popular entertainment venues close by.

There aren’t any known conventional parks in Jebel Ali Dubai. However, some of the epic theme parks in Dubai are just next door at the Dubai Parks & Resorts such as the Bollywood Parks, Motiongate and Legoland Dubai. For other outdoor activities, the SandBox is a popular favourite destination.

For fitness purposes, you may find several gyms in the nearby Dubai Investment Parks such as Fitness First and Fit4Life. A little further from the golf resort, there is Jebel Ali Recreational Club home to licensed sports bar and pubs. Besides, the recreational facilities around here include fitness club, pools, dine-in cinema, tennis and squash courts.

The JA Recreational Club hosts many seasonal and weekly events. Residents can attend a variety of activities at the clubhouse such as cocktail parties, live screenings and quiz nights. Jebel Ali is primarily a vast commercial district and residential areas have only recently started to grow. Thus, you may find that most areas are quite plain and also far from the more happening parts of the city.
